'Danbury Dave'

We Therefore built Dave as bus from a South African shell we had imported to Daves exacting spec. This bus he is far happier with and wrote us this email March 2018 5 years after we built his Bus!!

We still look after the bus now for him yearly.

Billy I Just wanted to share this with you:

Last October I went on a day mechanic course for air cooled vehicles with a firm called Type 2 Detectives near Newmarket, the course was called Boot Camp and the 2 guys that owned it turned out to be really nice blokes.

They offered but only to people on the course (which they do about once a month) something called 1-2-1 which basically means you take your vehicle up there and they give it a completely unbiased thorough once over, the bodywork, the engine and up on the ramps the complete undercarriage.

I got carried away while I was on the boot camp course and booked one but unfortunately I couldn't get back up there until this Friday gone due to the fact that I broke my collar bone really badly last September and wasn't able to drive the camper or many other things until recently.
As I'm driving up there on Friday I was thinking to myself "what am I doing this for" but I had already paid for it otherwise I don't think I would of gone.

Anyway the reason I'm dropping you this email is because they couldn't of spoken more highly of your work, the bus undercarriage was very impressive and they picked up a lot of little things that normally they said would not of been done (sleeves around pipes etc), also in the engine area they were again really impressed with your work, detail and care (various little things like the plates you had fitted covering holes etc) they couldn't find anything to criticise and were truly impressed.

I was obviously delighted to get that feedback (which is what I was really expecting but you never know do you) these guys really did give it the once over with me standing next to them the whole time.
I wanted to inform you Billy of that feedback because you should know about it, these guys really do know their stuff (like you do) and I think they were knocked back by  your workmanship.

I have always spoke very highly of you and your firm Billy and this has just confirmed it.

Cheers, all the best mate.

Dave
