1979 Devon Moonraker. 4 berth in original condition. 42 000 miles from new on its 2 litre engine and box. One year only Double devon top bus.Garaged its whole life after being purchased from South Hereford VW. The van has Full service history pretty much all stamps are from South Hereford VW garage.
The van has all mots and service print outs to prove its genuine provenance. We only normally deal in Imported VW campers but this bus has blown us away. Original paint, interior, roof bellows this is the real deal. The van pretty much smells new it is that genuine. The car was rust proofed from new and then always garaged. The van changed hands from its original owners in '93 and the sale was handled again by South Hereford vw.
The van does genuinely drive like new this is not a cliche it is fact! Restored buses are fine if done properly ( all our stock is) but you just cannot get the feel of low mileage bus like this.
The price of course reflects the rarity and condition of such a genuine bus.
We sold the bus 5 years ago and have kept the bus in fine fettle for the elderly owners. the couple own an old jag and numerous old motorcylces and this added to their collection. Having only covered 2000 miles in 5 years the couple feel it is time to sell on.
We have stored the bus every Winter for the couple and have always serviced and MOT'd the bus too.
buses like this do not turn up all at once!!
This is without a doubt the most original and low mileage bus we have ever had for sale.... and we have sold a few in 14 years!!
BETTER THAN NEW INSIDE AND OUT.. Another lovely LHD Westfalia we have in stock that has been painted by Brick kiln racing.
