This build so much fun thanks to the boys vision. When Rich and Jon first came up with the idea of the fabric to use I was really not to sure!! Sourcing it was hard enough, but we got there in the end.
Once the bus came back from paint in its awesome Sierra yellow and white finish it was off with a bang, The inteior was another of our in-house builds, this one we stained and sealed to match the original South African deluxe wood grain sticker on the glove box!! Yes we can do this all in-house!
The motor was the popular 2 litre which we removed, tested on our rig and then re-installed with a new clutch and a whole host of other parts!!
A cracking bus I am sure you will agree?
Rich approached us initially wanting a nice RHD bus, Well where else would he have gone? Ok once the initial viewing had taken place Rich seemed to be leaning more towards one of our imminent South African imports.
After a week of emails had changed place and a fresh batch of buses had arrived we were graced with John's presence. We went through the pro's and cons of each bus and he then went away.
More emails were exchanged and then the guys opted for a lovely 2 tone bus and a lovely new colour scheme
Full bespoke rebuild back in to stock. Lovely 1972 South African Import.
