What was lovely about this bus is that it has an extensive history file to back up its authenticty. It shows all of the special order items from the factory as well as its special order stauts to be shipped to Australia. 

In 1974 Westfalia stopped producing a RHD order bus for VW due to the huge demand from North America they were unable to keep up. VW therefore allowed Devon and Dormobile to be the U.K convertors of their kombis.

If you wanted a RHD late Westfalia with the HUGE rear hinged roof then you had to order it direct from the Germany factory and these buses were not cheap!! To be fair they are a cracking solid conversion with the full width bed and lots of storage, they allow a family of 5 lots of room to pack and live in one space.
